International conference "Littera Scripta Manet – Manuscripts in Libraries, Archives and Museums” inaugurates the series of comprehensive discussions about special collections. By providing the platform for information exchange, we wish to identify problems, good practices and solutions for research libraries.

This year we wish to focus on the manuscripts from Polish and foreign institutions, particularly on the Polish heritage in foreign collections.

The proceedings will focus on the problems of collecting, cataloguing, storing, preserving, and sharing manuscript collections. We also wish to address the issue of publishing manuscripts as scholarly editions and digital content.

We wish to invite scholars and researchers from various fields, including, but not limited to history, bibliology, archival and museum science, linguistics, literature studies, art history, but also chemistry and biology. This interdisciplinary approach would provide an opportunity for interactions between Polish and foreign researchers.

The conference will be accompanied by displays of manuscripts from the Scientific Library of the PAAS and the PAS in Cracow.
