The research project consists of: free analysis of the light-resistance of manuscript’s ink that will help us define safe methods of manuscript’s conservation and digitisation; the registration of multi-dimensional texture maps of the 15-th century leather bookbinding that will make inscriptions and marks more legible; hyperspectral imaging will make faded parts of text more legible and as a result it may provide valuable information regarding manuscript’s dating and provenance.

The research is coordinated by dr hab. Tomasz Łojewski from the Faculty of Materials Science and Ceramics at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
