The project Study of the Wawrzyniec of Gieski’s Hymnal from the collection of the Scientific Library of the PAAS and the PAS in Cracow, curated by dr Elżbieta Knapek has been granted access to the research infrastructure in the second edition of competition organised by the Polish Distributed Research Consortium for Heritage Science E-RIHS.PL.

 

In December 2017 Professor Krzysztof Skórczewski donated new series of his engravings to the PAAS Print Room.

 

 

Mr. Mirosław Kruszyński has generously given our Library four old prints.

Prof. Ewa Małecka-Tendera and Prof. Michał Tendera have generously bequeathed to the Scientific Library of the PAAS and the PAS in Cracow:

We would like to thank them for this generous donation to our collection.

 

New exhibition in the Archive of Science of the PAS and the PAAS presents archival materials from Archive’s and the Scientific Library of the PAAS and the PAS in Cracow’s collections about donors who endorsed the 19th-century AAS and its successor, the PAAS. Among shown objects you can see materials about Library’s donors, like Cyprian Walewski.

The exhibition is shown 18 November 2016 – 30 March 2017 in the Archive’s exhibition room. [Read more].

 

 

The Scientific Library of the PAAS and the PAS in Cracow borrowed 24 architectural designs by Wawrzyniec Dayczak from the 1930s for the exhibition “L’viv on 24th June 1937. City, architecture, modernism” in the Museum of Architecture in Wrocław.
