In 2017 the Scientific Library of the PAAS and the PAS in Cracow has received a grant in the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage’s programme Cultural Heritage - Support for museum activities to finance a publication of catalogue of the 16th-century ornamental prints from the PAAS Print Room.
Head of the grant is Magdalena Adamska, MA who has been studying ornamental prints in the Library, and authored several publications about the Library’s print’s collection.
The catalogue would be a comprehensive description of this valuable collection and hopefully would shed light on specific problems with the research of this subject. The publication, with its opulent illustration, is a continuation of the series of the Library's catalogues including the Catalogue of 19th century maps and atlases (2010) and incunables (2015).
We hope that the catalogue would be ready in November 2017.
